United Way of Warren County Celebrates Successful Campaign

United Way of Warren County held its 2013 annual meeting on Wednesday, March 20 at the Northeast Cincinnati Marriot in Mason. Sponsored by Flynn and Company, the meeting provided an opportunity to announce the organization’s 2012 campaign results and present awards to key volunteers and supporters. Board member and Campaign Chair Dan Engen announced to the crowd of 140 that the campaign total was $1,851,233, an over $26,000 increase over the previous year. This was the second year in a row United Way of Warren County has exceeded the campaign goal. Aaron Reid, Executive Director, said, “Thanks to so many wonderful businesses, organizations, and individual supporters, we have great momentum going. It is an honor to serve such a wonderful and caring county that knows by supporting United Way, we help make our communities better places for all.” Reid also announced at the meeting that the organization has officially changed its name from Warren County United Way to United Way of Warren County and will be rolling out a new website this spring.

In addition to announcing another successful campaign, the organization also handed out awards to key supporters. The winners included:

  1. Campaign Volunteer of the Year Award - Samantha Bolen
  2. Agency Volunteer of the Year Award - Rick Delewski, Cincinnati Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired
  3. Community Leadership Award - Margaret Drexel, The Schueler Group of Companies
  4. Good Neighbor Award - Warren County Career Center
  5. United Way Volunteer of the Year Award - Keith Oliver, The Kroger Company
  6. Corporate Involvement Award - The Schueler Group of Companies

United Way of Warren County is a local independent nonprofit serving all of Warren County. The organization’s mission is to improve lives by connecting people, organizations and resources to meet the needs of the community.  United Way of Warren County currently supports 63 different non-profit programs advancing education, income and health.
