Allocations
Your gift to Warren County United Way is more than a donation; each dollar is
an investment into our community. United Way works with 29 Partner Agencies to
advance the common good and create opportunities for a better life for all. Our
Partner Agencies help address issues ranging from early childhood learning,
financial stability training, senior programs, homeless shelters, adult
illiteracy, youth mentoring, domestic violence and much more.
In 2010, 40 volunteers serving on the Allocation Committee devoted a combined
total of 643 hours reviewing the 60 plus programs provided by the Warren County
United Way 29 Partner Agencies. In preparation of making their allocation
recommendations to the Warren County United Way Board of Directors, these
volunteers review budget proposals, make on site visits, discuss program
effectiveness, challenges of a strained economy, increased need for services,
and funding deficits. In addition, the volunteers hear formal presentations
within their assigned Focus Group from the financial and executive leadership of
each Partner Agency. This Citizen Review process ensures the fiscal and program
accountability of our Partner Agencies and assures our donors that their
investments in the Warren County United Way are wisely reinvested in a wide
variety of effective community services that impact the whole community. Listed below are the 2011/2012 awards that will be disbursed to our Partner
